Stop-motion fantasy feature from Roy and Arturo Ambriz (Cinema Fantasma), their follow-up to 'I Am Frankelda'. development began 10+ years ago, paused for the 'Frankelda's Book of Spooks' series, resumed pre-production as of June 2026. Story follows fire-wielding princess Virian and her spirit guide Phoenix, inspired by Mexican folklore/alchemy. Gael Garcia Bernal voices the lead role. production designer Bruce Zick (The Lion King, Pocahontas, WALL-E) designed the sets. Project presented at Venice's financing market, August 2026.
