See Creature's CNESST spot animates a puppet that unravels -- built entirely from crocheted wool

Montreal's See Creature Animation built "Hanging by a Thread," a workplace-psychological-health campaign for Quebec's CNESST, around a puppet made almost entirely of hand-crocheted wool over a metal armature -- the office-worker character, Harold, literally unravels as the story's central metaphor. Directed by Pierre Dalpe and Dale Hayward, crochet fabrication was led by Chason Yeboah's team; facial performance ran on a separate 3D-printed replacement-face system rather than the crochet body itself. Agency Cossette commissioned the spot; VFX studio Rodeo FX composited the shots, working from stop-motion elements See Creature describes as photographed in layers rather than keyed from a green screen. Folded into a new Wiki page on crochet/yarn as a puppet-skin material (see the Wiki this week) since the technique -- and the account of an in-camera, non-chroma-key unravelling effect -- isn't yet documented anywhere else in the database.
