PFCAT 2026 lineup spotlights 30+ stop-motion films in Portland
The Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology (PFCAT), Aug 18-23, 2026 at OMSI, announced an expanded lineup with 30+ stop-motion films including two features: Heinrich Sabl's 25-years-in-the-making Memory Hotel (US premiere) and Beck Underwood's directorial debut The Lure of Ponies: A Spellbound Attic Mystery. Also screening: Siqi Song's She Creates Change: Dewmini and Rob Shaw's You Play Too Much (voiced by Fred Armisen), plus a "Meet the Animators of LAIKA" panel and "Attack of the Puppet People" panel covering Robot Chicken, The Tiny Chef Show, Wendell & Wild, and The Shivering Truth artists. All five titled works were already in the catalogue and needed no new records -- confirms existing coverage is current.
