PFCAT 2026 posts its awards page, naming five stop-motion works already in the catalogue as winners
PFCAT (Portland, Aug 18-23, 2026) published its 2026 awards page. Stop-motion winners: Best Animated Feature -- Memory Hotel (Heinrich Sabl); Grand Prize in Animation and Best Stop-Motion Short Film -- Playing God; Best Animated Children's Microshort -- She Creates Change: Dewmini (Siqi Song); Best Stop-Motion Mid-Length Film -- You Play Too Much (Rob Shaw); and a Special Jury Creative Achievement in a Feature Film award for The Lure of Ponies: A Spellbound Attic Mystery. Also named: Best Student Stop-Motion Film (Death's Peak) and Best Stop-Motion Micro-Short (Hell), both new to the catalogue as unconfirmed research leads pending a director/studio source. All five previously-catalogued winners were already fully sourced here from prior sweep runs; this pass adds the award result itself.
