MOTK Shoot 0.4.1 keeps earlier captures closed and restores phone playback

MOTK Shoot 0.4.1-beta.1 changes how the free browser shooting tool starts a working session. A new browser tab or later browser session now opens with a new empty shoot instead of automatically showing the last project and its captured images. Previous projects remain stored locally and recoverable, but they stay closed until the animator opens Projects and deliberately chooses Open project. Reloading the same tab still resumes that tab's active shoot, so an accidental refresh does not discard the current position.

The release also fixes a playback race in which the exposure clock could advance before an IndexedDB frame bitmap had finished loading, leaving the viewport blank or making playback appear broken. Playback now installs the first image before its clock begins and redraws later frames when asynchronous image loading completes. Focus mode has been reduced to the actions that matter during concentrated shooting—Capture, Play/Pause, Hide controls and Exit—without separate LIVE and TEST buttons competing for space.

Phone shooting now works in both portrait and landscape with the shutter, Live, Play/Pause and frame stepping kept within reach. Secondary actions move into a labelled More controls modal containing First/Last frame, Loop, Short play, Test shot, Exposure hold, Remove frame, Undo/Redo and Captures bin; desktop keeps the full transport visible. Storage remains non-destructive: every capture receives a browser recovery copy, compatible desktop browsers may mirror new JPEGs to a chosen folder, and iPhone/iPad users can save or share a session backup through Files or AirDrop.
