SCAD AnimationFest opened its 10th-anniversary edition in Atlanta with a new animation competition that includes Cecilia Mendoza's stop-motion short The Tooth Seed. SCAD's official programme confirms The Tooth Seed among the inaugural competition selections, while current festival programming also includes a Wildwood making-of session with LAIKA head of animation Brad Schiff and stop-motion animator Tilly Fidler. The programme gives stop-motion a visible place across both emerging-filmmaker competition and professional craft discussion at the Sept. 23–25 festival.
